I started working on this goal last year and literally stepped out on nothing but faith to get it done. I knew I had a book inside of me, so I set out to write it and pitch it to as many publishers and literary agents that I could. After what seemed like a million “no’s”, I finally got my yes! Take the Limits Off Your Legacy: A Woman’s Guide to Unlock Purpose & Vision was created to evoke confidence in women and girls to embrace the power in their story and live a limitless legacy. It’s a journey of becoming who you have been called to be to honor what you have been called to do to so that you can fearlessly unlock the limitless opportunities of your life’s purpose and vision. I provide several keys to remove the limits off not only your mind but also the vision you have for your life and the power of God which will ultimately take the limits off of your legacy. My narrative and framework provokes readers to strive for a lasting impact on the lives of others by boldly deciding to birth their dreams. Incorporating a sincere account of transformation, I use my messy story of conquering several personal challenges as the foundation to provide a guide to inspire women and girls all over the world to confidently live out their dreams and embrace a limitless future. I share effective tools to empower you to honor your story, conquer fears and self-doubt, discover your purpose, give birth to your vision, and live a limitless legacy to create an optimal life with confidence, poise and intention!

WHAT IS EMBRACE HER LEGACY ACADEMY Offered under the Embrace Her Legacy framework, our Embrace Her Legacy Academy (formerly the Made to Succeed Academy) is a co-curricular program offered to success-oriented, high-school girls in the New York City area. The curriculum is a learning series whose focal point is the overall well-being, self-empowerment, personal & leadership development and professional success of young women and is offered as a two week immersive and intensive course with targeted self-empowerment and personal development classes.
BENEFITS OF THE PROGRAM & EMBRACE HER LEGACY HIGH-SCHOOL AMBASSADORS Embrace Her Legacy is offering this program to a distinguished group of young women in our area. Only a select number of students throughout the entire NYC area will be accepted into the program. Accepted students will also gain the opportunity to serve as Embrace Her Legacy High-School Ambassadors.
High school ambassadors are high-school girls who complete the program and possess strong leadership skills to represent Embrace Her Legacy at their respective schools.

PROGRAM GOALS & OBJECTIVES Our goal is to empower our young women to become whole young women with a positive self-worth and self-image while also creating a framework for young women to lead purpose-driven lives, birth their dreams and achieve personal and professional goals.
The overall style of the course is empowering, impactful and engaging with open dialogue. Our founder, Maria I. Melendez, eloquently uses her unique style of transparency, wit, expertise and warm-spirit while providing a framework and takeaway which students can effectively apply to their overall personal development, self-esteem and professional success to successfully lead purpose-driven lives.
PROGRAM LAYOUT Each session will conclude with empowering, purpose-driven action-steps for students to actively engage in their overall personal development throughout the course. The curriculum has been tailored to focus on the challenges that a teenage girl faces today.

HOW TO APPLY TO THE PROGRAM Embrace Her Legacy is looking for New York City high-school girls who possess the following criteria to apply for the program:

In order to be considered for the program, all interested applicants must complete the application form below. Once the applicant submits their application, an Embrace Her Legacy staff member will reach out via email to qualified applicants to set-up a phone interview or request any additional information.
Following the phone interview a final decision of the applicant’s status will be made and she will be notified via email whether she has been accepted to the program. Once accepted into the program, the applicant has (7) days from the date of receiving their acceptance letter to provide the entire tuition payment and the signed parent/guardian consent form in order to secure their spot in the program. The tuition invoice via email and can be paid via debit/credit card or check written out to Embrace Her Legacy.
All accepted applicants, MUSTsubmit our signed Parent/Guardian consent form upon acceptance into the program. The form will be attached to the acceptance email.
Due to the amount of applicants we receive, if the accepted applicant does not submit the payment within the 7-day grace period then the applicant is forfeiting her position in the program.
REFUND POLICY
Please note that once your tuition is received, your tuition is non-refundable.We allow the grace period of 7-days to assure that this investment into your future is something that you want to pursue. We understand that unforeseeable circumstances may occur, nevertheless, we have to remain diligent with our business relationships that are supporting this program.

Now, we are EXCITED to announce that we are launching our Made to Succeed Academy – Summer Institute in July of 2015 for young women ages 14-19 in the New York City/Tri-State area. Along with the curriculum-based program focused on the empowerment, wellness, personal and professional development of our girls, we are now creating an environment where our girls will also cultivate powerful relationships with influential women. Embrace Her Legacy will invite several esteemed professional women to participate as workshop leaders and panel discussions to not only extend their valuable knowledge and experience but to also develop potential mentorship relationships with the young women in the program.
This option is for any and all high school girls in the NYC area who are interested in signing up for the program.
Everyone’s goals are different so the key here is for participants to learn how to effectively define and accomplish their success-driven goals. Our founder will coach, educate and motivate you to get there. She will help you create specific action steps to help you achieve your goals. She will show you how to realize your dreams by becoming resourceful and how to use strategic skills like her cause and effect strategy.

Students involved will gain invaluable insight and wisdom for both professional and personal development.
We will create and facilitate a workshop focused on the importance of establishing a mentor while providing a framework of effective mentor and mentee relationship in which students will learn an in-depth approach to career & leadership development, personal wellness and the importance of cultivating professional relationships. Embrace Her Legacy will invite esteemed, hand-selected professional women to participate in the program in which students can connect with professionals to establish a mentor-mentee relationship.
Program Layout
A multiple course program (minimum 2 – maximum 5) program that breaks down the definition, importance and protocol of mentor-mentee relationships and cultivating professional relationships. Also, the program will include a “mentor mixer” where potential mentors will connect with the students and participate in a targeted discussion.
Discussion topics include but are not limited to:career, finance, self-confidence, self-image and personal beauty, beauty and the media, manifesting dreams, personal brands, living a purpose-driven life, vision board workshops, living a limitless legacy, women empowerment, personal development, and entrepreneurship.
Each session will conclude with empowering, purpose-driven action-steps for students to actively engage in their overall personal development throughout the course and will include an hour long targeted discussion and/or workshop with additional time for an interactive Q&A.

Potential mentors are distinguished, note-worthy professional women who are established in their careers and revered in their respective industries and bring years of experience, wisdom and knowledge to share with students.
All sessions are moderated by Embrace Her Legacy founder, Maria I. Melendez.
Your organization will be responsible for selected the students as well as providing the space for the workshop.
Each student will receive a short bio from intended mentors prior to the event and should come prepared with questions ready.
Embrace Her Legacy will screen and select potential mentors.
Embrace Her Legacy will provide a questionnaire that must be completed by each pre-selected student prior to the day of the actual meeting of the potential mentors in order for Embrace Her Legacy to effectively connect students to the appropriate mentor.
Students and mentors will also complete a survey (which will remain anonymous) after the workshop for feedback purposes.

I want you to WIN and boldly decide to birth your vision no matter what circumstances you may be facing. God is not looking for your ability, He is looking for your availability. Are you ready?
Just as there are stages of the pregnancy process, there a stages of the “birthing your vision” process and inevitable “labor pains” that we each will endure on the journey. I will walk you through the process of giving birth to a vision which includes:

Your “Trimesters” or Stages of Your Vision: Learn the action steps to you should take to embrace the nurturing, development & emotional process of the vision. These are the stages of your vision and I will teach you how to develop SMART goals for your vision according to the stage of your vision. This is where I show you how to “do the work.”
Delivery of Your Vision : How to recognize and deal with the inevitable difficulties and delays of the vision. Learn techniques to deal with the “labor pains” right before birthing your vision.
